My ordinary day turned extraordinary with the magic of rosemary!

Hi Reader

This week, a magical moment stopped me in my tracks.

It was an ordinary day, full of juggling children, admin, and content creation.

I was having a moment of doubt —was I doing what I was meant to do?

Was this wonderful but, at times, intense path worth it?

Then Rosemary showed up twice—out of the blue and via unexpected gifts!

First, a rosemary smoke bundle from one of my students (and an excellent book! 👇👇) arrived through the post.

Later that same afternoon, a dear friend gifted me a handmade candle trimmed with rosemary.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

Twice in one day? Rosemary was trying to tell me something!

In plant spirit herbalism, these are nudges from the plants to pay attention.

Rosemary has a rich history as an herb of protection, remembrance, and mental clarity. With many projects and seasonal changes, I'm juggling a lot. Rosemary reminds me to stay grounded, protect my energy, and find clarity in the chaos.

You see, plants don’t always “talk” to us in ways we expect.

Often, their messages come through moments like these—when they pop up repeatedly in our lives. If a plant is calling your attention, it’s worth tuning in.

Here are a few ways to recognise and work with plant teachers in your life:

  • Be open to repetition: If a particular plant keeps appearing—whether in conversation, as a gift, or in the wild—it’s not random. Consider what that plant might represent and how it can support you.

  • Tune in and spend some time with the plant. Hold it, make tea with it, meditate with it. Notice what comes up for you. Once you've connected with the plant, work with it in your daily practice.

  • Honour the gifts the plant offers. Gratitude and respect are key to developing lasting connections with your plant spirit guides.

  • Acting on the information is an essential part of the sacred contract. If you don’t act on the information from your plant allies, it will never become wisdom with the potential to transform your life.

This week, I'll brew rosemary tea in a sensory tea ceremony. I'll reflect on what Rosemary wants of me and which part of their medicine I need now.

Next time a plant shows up for you, I hope you’ll stop and listen. You never know what wisdom might be waiting!

If a plant has been calling your name, press 'reply' and let me know! I love hearing about your magical encounters and all things herby.

Warmest,

Wendy
